Holding others, Holding ourselves steadiness under pressure in Leadership

Webinar Agenda

This Neuroscience Spotlight session explores what happens when individuals are already highly self-aware, yet under conditions of pressure and emotional load, access to that insight becomes constrained.

The focus is on steadiness — conceptualized as the capacity to remain grounded and cognitively available under stress — and how this capacity supports decision-making, relational choice, and sustainable functioning in leadership.

The aim of the session is to offer an applied, integrative perspective that complements psychological and cognitive approaches by attending to capacity, presence, and nervous system load in real organisational contexts.

We will cover the following topics:
1. Functioning under pressure in leadership contexts
2. Steadiness as a capacity for clarity and choice under stress
3. A neuro-somatic perspective on cognitive availability and regulation
4. Emotional load and leadership behaviour
5. Implications for leadership effectiveness and sustainable practice
